The outdoors is what makes Newton County so special and
our yard will give you the chance to enjoy the outdoors.
From our back deck, with its hot tub, enjoy the views of
valleys and mountains that form the head of the Piney River.
A clearing behind the cabin will often contain deer, squirrel,
and a variety of birds. An assortment of trees (including fruit
trees), grapevines, flowers, and rocks are found in the yard.
This is a perfect backdrop for our large assortment of old
bird feeders. A small stream bed is formed from the water
that comes through a culvert under the road. Go across its
rock bridge or go lower down the stream to the old
fashioned water pump. A grill is located on the back deck
so that you can enjoy the outdoors as much as possible.
Inside our cabin, enjoy many of the features of home. The
open living area contains a fully equipped kitchen, dining
room, and living room. The kitchen is furnished with a
range/oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker,
and dishes. All you need to bring is food. The living room
includes a TV, VCR, and DVD. A telephone is available for
local calls (a phone card is needed for long distance calls)
The cabin contains two bedrooms and one bathroom. Each
bedroom contains a queen size bed. A sofa bed is
available in the living room for additional guests. A washer
and dryer are located in the bathroom. Adding to the
comfort are ceiling fans, a/c units, a gas heater in the living
room, and electric heaters that resemble wood stoves with
adjustable flames in the bedrooms.
